After the opening ceremony, Chairman Ren Hongbin and Vice Governor Li Guoliang jointly met with diplomats and important foreign guests from various countries.

\

Zhang Fusheng said in his speech that Hainan International Coffee Expo as the first exhibition project implemented by Central Enterprises in Hainan would draw on coffee as a link for building a platform for the coffee industry of countries around the world, to promote exchanges, strengthen cooperation and further deepen their economic and trade cooperation with Hainan.

Six forums, seven exhibition areas, and four competitions were unfolded to jointly interpret the theme of the exhibition “Every fragrant drop for a fragrant world.” The Maritime Silk Road International Economic and Trade Exchange Forum and the International Coffee Industry Summit attracted top expert representatives from the international coffee industry. The four parallel sub-forums immediately following included the International Promotion Conference for Coffee Growing Nations, the Coffee Financing Forum, the Hainan Coffee Culture Inheritance, Innovation and Development Forum, and the Hainan Coffee-Bean Roasting Technology Seminar. The four concurrent coffee competitions were just as exciting as the 7 events in the “Belt and Road” Maritime Coffee Street and the Coffee Culture Street.

Those activities were intended to promote the role of Hainan as the frontier and a window for economic and trade exchanges on the “Maritime Silk Road”, so as to turn Hainan into a distribution center for the coffee industry of countries on the "Maritime Silk Road."

The Hainan International Coffee Expo was jointly organized by the Department of Commerce of Hainan Province and SINOMACHINT, and jointly hosted by CMEC International Exhibition Co., Ltd., Haiken Group and Haikou HIMICE.
